You don’t always need a plan, sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens..

Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air. Be free.

And once you’ve made it to the top, free yourself from all concerns and illusions and stat living.

When you know what you want, all you really have to do is think it and feel it.

It’s ok to lose yourself for a little while. In books, in music, in art. Let yourself get lost.

If these years taught me anything, it’s this: you can never run away. Not ever. The only way out is in.

She’s never where she is. I said.  ”She’s only in her head.”

Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.

I had to create a world of my own- a climate, an atmosphere in which I could really breathe, regin and recreate myself when destroyed by living.

Sometimes I remind myself that I almost skipped the party, that I almost went to a different college, that the whim of a minute could have changed everything and everyone. Our lives, so settled, so specific, are built on happenstance.

There are some days I think I’m going to die from overdose of satisfaction.

Rather than fearfully shutting down your sensitivity, dive in deeper into all possible feelings. As you expand, keep only those who are not afraid of oceans.

Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.

We wear clothes, and speak, and create civilizations, and believe we are more than wolves. But inside us there is a world we cannot pronounce and that is who we are.

Every moment has it’s infinite potential. Every new moment contains for you possibilities that you can’t possibly imagine. Every day is a blank page that you could fill with the most beautiful drawings.

Wake up naked drinking coffee, making plans to change the world.

One day, your heart will stop beating, and none of your fears will matter. What will matter is how you lived.

Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It’s not ‘I love you’ for this or that reason, not ‘I love you if you love me.’ It’s love for no reason, love without an object.

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

Love is the absence of anxiety.

Never make fun of someone’s passion because that’s the thing that saves them from the world.

Go and do the things you can’t. That is how you get to do them.

Artists are people driven by the tension between the desire to communicate and the desire to hide.

Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.

If you look at everything as art, then you’d be much happier because you’d find beauty in everything. Just think that everything is a canvas. And though the masterpiece will never be done, it doesn’t lose any of its worth.

I believe that the way you feel about your life will eventually show up on your face.

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.

Develop yourself into something greater than you were yesterday. Don’t be lazy. Make a fucking awesome life for yourself. It wont be easy [but you can do it.]

Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

”And kid, you’ve got to love yourself. You’ve got to wake up at four in the morning, brew black coffee, and stare at the birds drowning the darkness of the dawn. You’ve got to sit next to the man on the train station who’s reading your favorite book and start a conversation. You’ve got to come home after a bad day and burn your skin from a shower. Then you’ve got to wash all your sheets until they smell of lemon detergent you bought for four dollars at the local grocery store. You’ve got to stop taking everything so goddamn personally. You are not the moon kissing the black sky. You’ve got to compliment someones crooked brows at an art fair and tell them that their eyes remind you of green swimming pools in mid July. You’ve got to stop letting yourself get upset about  things that won’t matter in two years. Sleep in on Saturday mornings and wake yourself up early on Sunday. You’ve got to stop worrying about what you’re going to tell her when she finds out. You’ve got to stop overthinking why he stopped caring about you over six months ago. You’ve got to stop asking everyone for their opinions. Fuck it. Love yourself kiddo. You’ve got to love yourself.”
