”A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense and is thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in it’s entirety.”
Photography tells a story in one moment, a moment that’s forever captured in time. It’s an expression of an artists journey and a representation of the still bond between him and the subject. I always believed in freedom of expressing and connecting with people through the universal language of art. And that’s the thing I love most about photography, it transcends all boundaries.
After graduating high school as a fashion designer I was sure I wanted to spend the rest of my life expressing myself through art and making a career out of it. Next step was art college so I applied at the Academy of Fine Arts. I didn’t get in, but that never stopped me from creating. That ment something better was coming my way. Those where art history and philosophy which I’m currently studying at the University of Rijeka. Philosophy tackled my brain and art history helped me tackle into ”art brains”, both making me a sharper thinker and a skilled observer.
Parts of the Sun came to life in the Christmas of 2013. as a personal experiment which led me into finding my true passion- photography. Through years of producing valuable content, I was always busy experimenting with new ways of creating and finding myself through that process. Photography opened up a new world for me and that world became mine own, always reminding me to stay true to who I am. It helped me create and meet myself, but also to attract my people. It’s my hustle and I love it. I love the people I work with and I live for every new day of telling stories with light and color.
”It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”
When it came to photographing people, I always second guessed myself, but the right moment came and I was ready. So I reminded myself about the boundaries and knew it was time to overcome my own. After that, amazing things started to happen. Everyone I got a chance to work with made me see deep into their souls allowing me to capture the essence of who they truly are. So the first time that happened I knew I was a photographer.
I’m currently finishing my graduate studies, but also working as a freelance photographer for brands and companies in Rijeka. I’ve worked with many amazing people and through that shared bond, we created an expression of something that can’t be expressed in words.
