Last weekend I worked at We Love Sound Open Air music festival and I’m still under the overall impression. The event lasted from Friday night (2.6.) until Sunday morning (4.6.) and even though I slept only 5 hours the entire weekend, I was still moving and dancing as I clicked away, capturing the vibrant magic you could feel all over the place. And how couldn’t I, since there were so many brilliant, world known musicians that treated us with some of the best sounds in today’s world of electronic music. Names like Chris Liebing, Loco Dice, tINi, Timo Maas and many others filled our hearts and souls with dancing beats and we just can’t wait for more events like this one. If you know me personally, or read my blog, you already know how huge is my love for electronic music. There are several playlists under the category Listen that hold some of my favorite sets and songs of artists I would die to see play live. Luckily for me, at the Open Air festival, I was able to do, all at once, few of my favorite things in the world and that is photographing, dancing and listening to amazing music. Can you just imagine the joy! 🙂
Everybody partied and the locations of the event were really atmospheric. Starting from Friday when Chirs and Loco played atdifferent clubs in different times, but both clubs, Best and Boogaloo were crowding with people! And since I was at the stage all the time photographing, I’ve noticed so many people migrate from party to party just continuing as the night went on. I saw some of them smiling at me because I took their photo at the club before next one. Such an amazing vibe! From time to time I felt like we’re not even in our country but someplace foreign, like a small Utopia with music non stop and people dancing until their feet fell off. The festival continued Saturday afternoon at the Takeover party which was the main event of the weekend and among others, the party was heating with the beats of tINi and Timo Maas. When the clock hit noon everything was on the way and by the end of the evening the place was filled with sounds and laughs, people drinking and dancing, just enjoying the ride. After party was continuing at Johan Franck and Opera, where Miguel Campbell, Gauthier DM, Ivan Matermix and the rest of the crew delivered sets that the crowd is gonna remember. When the sun began to rise, Best club took over the heath, with closing party of the event that lasted until Sunday noon, and even later. I left the party at 8 a.m. and all I could think of was, ”Damn, this was so good and I can’t wait for more business opportunities like this one!” And for all of you who have second guesses giving these parties a chance, I urge you not to waste your time thinking and just go dancing. Also I wanna thank Sonus team for this special opportunity and I hope to see you all soon! Here are some of my favorite photos. Sea of love, S.
